Match Report
The Gentles Construction Stadium, has never been a happy hunting ground for Celtic, but with the way things have panned out this season for both clubs, getting the 3 points in this game could be the difference between being in a relegation fight or a top 8 finish. Either way it was going to be a hard-fought game.
Celtic struck first when midfielder Isaac Powell burst though into the penalty area and fired the ball past Johnson the home side keeper on 22 minutes.
Celtic’s lead only lasted 10 minutes when a Taff’s Well corner was headed home by Joe Davies, to level the score. The half played out fairly evenly and the score remained 1-1 at the break.
The second half belonged to Celtic striker Lewis Iles who found the back of the net 4 times in a scintillating 23 minutes. The goals coming in the 71st, 75th, 86th & 94th minutes to give Celtic a sensational win at their bogie ground. A special mention also goes to Dom Connor who assisted in 3 of Iles’ goals.
Also a big, big thank you for “Our 12th Man” squad in the stand who were amazing.
A fantastic night for Cwmbran Celtic FC.
