Match Report
Cwmbran Celtic were denied 3 valuable points by a Llanelli equaliser on 90+7 minutes in an exciting encounter at Celtic Park. Where referee Dan Richardson got 7 minutes of time added on is a mystery. This was another sturdy performance by Celtic against a top 6 team. They have drawn 3 and the 4 games lost have all been by a one goal margin.
Llanelli took the lead on 7 minutes through an outrageous strike from the left flank by Tim Parker which zipped past Lewis Watkins into the corner of the net. Celtic equalised on 45+1, Lewis Iles heading in Tom Meechan’s cross from the right.
After the break Celtic took the lead in the 58th minute through a volley from the edge of the box by Tom Meechan. Town made the scores level, Hillman driving down the left to score. Celtic regained the lead on 75 minutes with an exquisite free kick by that man Meechan, awarded for a foul on Adrian Maguire which wrong-footed Coughlin. Elliot Jones impressed in his first start since re-signing from Panteg but when he and Isaac Powell were substituted late on Llanelli turned the screw bombarding the Celtic goal and defender Sean Cronin headed the last gasp equaliser.
