In season 2022-23 Cwmbran Celtic will field an unprecedented 32 football teams, the highest ever number of teams in the club’s history. This means that the club will have over 500 registered players throughout their teams.
There will be 3 Senior teams playing in the Cymru South, FAW Reserve East, and Newport & District Premier Y.
The Women’s 1st team will play in the FAW South & West Combined Division. We have 3 new teams: a Development side and Under15s who will play in the South Wales Womens League and a Girls Under 11s which will play in the Gwent County League.
The Veterans will field 3 teams, Over 40, Over 45 and Over 50 in the South Wales Veterans League.
We will also have an Under 18 side in the Gwent County Youth League.
The Academy will turn out 12 teams: 4 in the Foundation set-up ages 7 to 10, 6 from age 11 to 16 in the FAW Academy leagues. Under 18s in the FAW Youth League, and under 19s in the FAW Development League.
The Juniors have 4 mini football sides at age 8 to 11, and 5 junior sides in the Torfaen League ages 13 to 16.
Matches will be played on Saturdays and Sundays at Celtic Park and Cwmbran Stadium.
The club will be hoping to improve on last season’s honours in which our Women and Under 13s won their respective league titles, the 3rd team and Under 12s were cup runners up and the Under 15s were league runners up.
