Only one Celtic game survived the continuing wet weather last weekend. Celtic Youth lost 6-3 at Caldicot Town. Celtic were 2-1 up at half time through goals by captain Alfie Foster & Gabriel Howells.
Caldicot scored 3 without reply before Howells pulled a goal back to make the score 3-4, but James Pinnell completed his hat-trick with 2 late goals. The hosts have won 6 of their last 7 games to climb to 3rd in the table one place ahead of Celtic.
Looking at the team sheets, in Celtic’s line-up all 10 starting outfield players were 16/17-years-old compared with Town fielding just one 17-year-old. Given the age disparity which has been apparent all season Celtic are doing remarkably well. They have scored in every one of their 18 games thus far.
