Match Report
Playing their penultimate game in their first season of Tier 2 football, Celtic started quite nervy and struggled to get their passing game going against a spirited Caldicot side. Numerous chances came and went but the deadlock was eventually broken when Eloise Meaney slotted home on 34 minutes to put Celtic in front at half time.
The second half saw Celtic start to dominate possession and territory although Caldicot always looked dangerous on the break. Cerys Shipley proved to be in the right place at the right time with a couple of her trade mark ‘tap ins’ to put the game safe at 3-0.
A great in-swinging corner from Alex Bond saw a deflection on the way into the back of the net to make the final score 4-0
A robust performance from Celtic Ladies with some key absentees and players asked to play out of their usual positions.
This win guarantees 3rd place with unbeaten top of the table Briton Ferry visiting next week where a win would propel Celtic to runners up spot.
