CELTIC PLAYER PICKED FOR WALES SCHOOLS

Cwmbran Celtic are very pleased to learn that their 17 year old midfielder Iolo Jones, who has played 16 games in the 1st team this season, has been picked for the Wales Schools Under 18 squad to play in this season's  Centenary Shield competition which features the 5 British International countries. This is the second successive season that Iolo has made the squad.

Iolo started his football career with Celtic at age 5 but was quickly spotted by scouts from Bristol Rovers and he later moved to Newport County and Forest Green Rovers before returning to Celtic this season.

Iolo is a sixth form student at Croesyceiliog School in Cwmbran and he is aiming for a place at a top English sports university later this year to study Mathematics and continue his football progression.
