CELTIC SLUMP CONTINUES WITH DEFEAT AT HOME TO PORT TALBOT

Cwmbran Celtic's win-less start to their Welsh League campaign continued with a 3-0 home defeat delivered by Port Talbot Town.

Celtic were seriously depleted with three of their regular back four unavailable and Port Talbot striker Cortez Belle took full advantage with a superb hat-trick.

However the scoreline did not do Celtic justice. Trailing by one goal at half time Celtic produced a spirited 2nd half display, creating 15 chances with returning old boy Chris Ham prominent, but they could not find the net and Belle made them pay for their missed chances with  two more goals.

The loss puts Celtic in bottom but one place in the league table. Next week they travel to bottom placed Caearu (Ely) which now becomes a must win game.
